Work rights while you study
Australia sets a defined cap on how many hours a student visa holder may work during teaching periods, with the cap lifted outside them. Because the limit is explicit rather than vague, it is easier to plan around than in some other destinations - but treat any earnings as a supplement. The visa still requires you to evidence funds regardless of what you expect to earn.
The Temporary Graduate visa
The Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) lets eligible graduates stay and work after finishing. The Genuine Student requirement
Australia assesses whether you are a genuine student with a coherent study plan. Your written statement matters here more than in most visa processes: it should explain why this course, why Australia, and how it fits what you have already studied and where you want to end up. Vague or copied statements are a common cause of refusal.
